A series of policies on sanctioning of administrative violations and coercive implementation of administrative decisions in the customs field, providing the mechanism of autonomy and self-management applicable to public science and technology organizations and guidelines for financial support for guest workers will come into effect since August 2016.
GENERAL INTRODUCTION

1- GENERAL INTRODUCTION

Center for Ocean and Island studies was established on 28 September 2010, based on the Decision No. 231/QĐ-TCHC, issued by Director of University of Social Sciences and Humanities. This center has a function of doing research, scientific cooperation, result transfer and consultancy under The  University of Social Sciences and Humanities, National University- Ho Chi Minh City.

The overall aim of the Center  is to build a network for research cooperation with organisations, centers, universities, institutions and international organisations at home and abroad; to seek for finacial support and funding to carry out research projects, programs related to ocean and island studies and to strengthen the center research capabilities through scholarships, exchange, study visit, international conferences, seminars and field works.


2- MISSION   

Mission of the HCMCOIS is to operate with the spirit”self-motivated, creactive and effective”, strenghtening the cooperation with research institutions, universities, organisations at home and abroad; connecting scientific research, education to the reality needs; applied research deploy and result transfer to serve the society demands; proposing strategies, policies on the issues of exploiting, protecting and substanable development to contribute to socio-economic development in coastal areas, open seas.
